The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026, an inspiring initiative of MY Yuva Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, was successfully organized at Bokaro Steel City College. The event brought together enthusiastic young participants from Bokaro to deliberate on important national issues and contribute their perspectives toward building a developed India. The program was inaugurated by the Inspector General (IG) of North Chotanagpur Division, Jharkhand, along with the Principal of Bokaro Steel City College, Dr. Madhuri Madam. Their presence added dignity and motivation to the occasion, encouraging students to actively participate in democratic dialogue and thoughtful debate. A central theme of the Youth Parliament was “50 Years of Emergency”, where participants openly shared their opinions and reflected on the historical, political, and constitutional significance of the Emergency period in India. The discussions were insightful and dynamic, showcasing the awareness and analytical abilities of the youth.
Dr. Jaydev Kumar Mahato, Executive Director of Jharkhand Foundation Kendra and a noted social activist invited as a Jury Member of the event. He appreciated the confidence, clarity of thought, and leadership qualities demonstrated by the participants, emphasizing the importance of youth engagement in nation-building. The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 proved to be more than just a debate platform. It served as a powerful forum for young voices to engage in national conversations and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. By encouraging critical thinking, leadership, and civic responsibility, the initiative continues to shape informed and responsible citizens ready to contribute to India’s future.
