On the occasion of the New Year 2026, Jharkhand Foundation Kendra (JFK) organized a blanket distribution campaign to support physically challenged individuals and widows from economically weaker sections of society. The program was successfully conducted with the support and coordination of the Block Development Officer (BDO), Chas Block, ensuring proper identification and outreach to the intended beneficiaries. Considering the severe winter conditions and their adverse impact on vulnerable groups, this initiative aimed to provide protection, comfort, and dignity to those most in need. Under this campaign, a total of 20 beneficiaries, including physically challenged persons and widows, were provided with warm blankets. The involvement of the BDO office helped in maintaining transparency, smooth implementation, and effective beneficiary management. This New Year welfare initiative highlighted Jharkhand Foundation Kendra’s commitment to social responsibility and inclusive development. By benefiting 20 vulnerable individuals, the program not only addressed an immediate winter need but also spread a message of care, compassion, and hope as the community welcomed the New Year 2026.

“Wheels of Change” – Restoring Mobility and Hope https://blog.jharkhandfoundationkendra.org/2025/08/14/wheels-of-change-restoring-mobility-and-hope/ https://blog.jharkhandfoundationkendra.org/2025/08/14/wheels-of-change-restoring-mobility-and-hope/#respond Thu, 14 Aug 2025 07:31:40 +0000 https://blog.jharkhandfoundationkendra.org/?p=286

In a heartfelt gesture of compassion and social responsibility, BLS Bokaro, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, extended meaningful support to three physically challenged individuals by donating battery-operated tricycles. The program was organized with the active support of Asha Lata and the Jharkhand Foundation Kendra, Bokaro, who played a crucial role in identifying the beneficiaries and facilitating the distribution.

Mobility is one of the biggest challenges faced by persons with physical disabilities. For many, limited movement often results in reduced opportunities for education, livelihood, and social participation. Recognizing this, BLS Bokaro took the initiative to empower such individuals by providing them with battery-operated tricycles, an effort aimed at restoring not just their mobility but also their independence, dignity, and confidence. This donation is more than just an act of charity it symbolizes a step toward inclusivity and empowerment.

As the new financial year 2025–26 unfolds with fresh hope and renewed commitment to community service, Jharkhand Foundation Kendra (JFK) has set an inspiring example by kick-starting the year with a meaningful act of kindness. In collaboration with the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Chas, Bokaro, the organization donated tricycles to two differently-abled individuals (i) Paddoloachan Choudhary (40 Yr) and (ii) Anand Singh Choudhary (9 Yr), both from Tupra Panchayat in need. The small but impactful ceremony took place in a humble setting, where the recipients, both from economically challenged backgrounds, were visibly emotional and grateful. The tricycles are not just mobility aids — they are tools of independence, empowerment, and dignity. With them, these individuals can now navigate their daily routines with greater ease and confidence. JFK greatly thanks CDPO Chas for this support.

This thoughtful gesture is a reminder that progress isn’t always measured in large numbers or big headlines. Sometimes, it begins with a tricycle, a smile, and the shared belief that everyone deserves a chance to move forward — literally and figuratively. As the financial year begins, this act stands as a beacon of inclusive growth and a call to action for others to contribute to a more compassionate society. “Starting our financial year with a service activity sets the tone for everything we aim to do. We believe development must reach those who need it the most,” they said.

The JFK, known for its continuous work in supporting underprivileged communities, identified the children’s needs during a community survey. Upon learning about their struggles, the organization immediately reached out to the CDPO officer, who played a key role in facilitating the required assistance through the government welfare scheme.

Dr. Jaydev Kumar Mahato, the Executive Director of JFK, expressed gratitude towards the CDPO officer, stating. “Our aim is to ensure that no child is left behind due to physical disabilities. This support will help these children live with dignity and hope.”
