In an inspiring initiative aimed at connecting young people with government opportunities, Dr. Jaydev Kumar Mahato (Executive Director, Jharkhand Foundation Kendra) delivered an informative and motivational talk on the various programmes, schemes, and opportunities available through MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat). Dr. Mahato was assigned the responsibility by the District Youth Officer, Bokaro, to create awareness among the youth about the MY Bharat platform and help them understand how they can benefit from the programmes and initiatives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. As part of this initiative, Dr. Mahato visited Chas College, Chas, where he interacted with more than 1,500 young students. The large gathering reflected the enthusiasm and curiosity of the youth to learn about opportunities that can contribute to their personal, educational, professional, and social development.
During his interaction, Dr. Mahato explained the purpose and significance of the MY Bharat Portal, highlighting how the platform provides young people with opportunities to participate in various youth-oriented activities, programmes, volunteering initiatives, experiential learning opportunities, and other avenues for personal and professional growth. He encouraged the students to actively register on the portal, explore the opportunities available to them, and participate in programmes according to their interests and aspirations. He also emphasised that awareness is the first step towards accessing the benefits of government initiatives. Dr. Mahato urged the students not to limit themselves to academic education alone but to actively participate in social activities, volunteering, leadership programmes, skill development, and community engagement. Such experiences, he explained, can help young people develop confidence, leadership abilities, communication skills, and a greater sense of responsibility towards society. The interaction at Chas College provided an important platform for students to ask questions and learn more about the opportunities available through MY Bharat. With more than 1,500 youth participating, the programme became an impactful youth-awareness initiative in Bokaro district.
